Bayou Rescue is dedicated to supporting animal rescue organizations that provide direct animal rescue and emergency shelter for animals in disaster areas — ALL animals, MANY organizations. We help other established animal rescue and welfare organizations that respond to disaster. Many of our Response Team Members have volunteered time, provided in-kind and financial donations for emergency supplies and food, and provided transportation for animals to foster and/or adoptive homes. It is rewarding work.

In the past, we've supported: Best Friends Animal Society, Alley Cat Allies, Animal Rescue New Orleans, Grassroots Animal Rescue, Humane Society of Louisiana, Humane Society of Southern Mississippi, Muttshack Animal Rescue, Hay There, Humane Society of the United States, Noah's Wish (we attended their Disaster Mgmt. Training) and many more.

We strive to allocate resources to the animals and caretakers of disaster zones, always in a TIMELY manner.
